Glendale Mayor Ara Najarian is scheduled to appear on Larry Zarian’s live call-in show to discuss the most recent developments at City Hall, including expected changes to how people are nominated and appointed to the city’s boards and commissions and the issue of park-space deficiencies.
Zarian said he intended to press Najarian on the perception of council dysfunction following Councilman Bob Yousefian’s tirade during a City Council meeting in September. Councilman John Drayman’s prior decision to move his office out of City Hall will also be covered.
The show airs at 7 p.m. tonight on Channel 26. The live call-in number is (818) 547-3668.
The Women’s Council of the Verdugo Hills Hospital Foundation will host “The Main Event,” the hospital’s annual fundraising event, at 6 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Oakmont Country Club, 3100 Country Club Drive, and will include dinner, dancing, live and silent auctions and entertainment.
Titled “Dreams of Fall,” the aim of this year’s “The Main Event” is to raise funds for the purchase of digital mammography equipment at Verdugo Hills Hospital.
The Women’s Council cumulative contributions to the hospital are rapidly approaching $3 million, the council’s goal this year.
Tickets to “The Main Event” cost $150, and table sponsorships, with seating for eight, are $1,200.
To reserve tickets, or for more information on sponsorship options or donating an auction item, call the Verdugo Hills Hospital Women’s Council at (818) 952-2228.
