Doctor reelected to optometric board
Movses D’Janbatian, a Glendale optometrist, was reelected as Trustee of the California Optometric Assn.’s Board of Trustees during its annual House of Delegates meeting in Sacramento last month.
A member of the association since 1983, D’Janbatian has been a trustee since 2006.
He is also an active member of his local society, the San Fernando Valley Optometric Society, with appointments as president, treasurer and political activities coordinator.
D’Janbatian has been practicing optometry in Glendale for 23 years.
Local bank appoints new sales director
Glendale-based Americas United Bank announced last week the appointment of George Sevilla to the position of director of sales.
Most recently, Sevilla served as a team leader for Banco Popular North America. He has more than 10 years of banking experience.
“George Sevilla is another terrific addition to the AUB team,” bank President Gil Dalmau said in a statement.
“His ability to produce made him a unanimous choice to fill our director of sales position. In this position, George will manage the bank’s business development team.
“We are delighted to have him on board as we continue to grow our business.”
