Speed networking event is a first
The Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce will host its first-ever speed networking event from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today at the Sparr Heights Community Center, 1613 Glencoe Way.
The event, called 20/20 Power Monday Speed Networking, combines 20 minutes of professional development with 20 power business meetings with chief executive officers, sales professionals and business executives.

Local CEO has accolades in sights
Financial services firm Ernst & Young LLP announced last week that Cinta Putra, chief executive officer of Glendale-based security technology company 3N, is among 45 semifinalists for its Entrepreneur of the Year award for the Greater Los Angeles area.
The group of finalists was selected by an independent judging panel made up of regional business, academic and community leaders. Finalists will be announced in May, with the winners revealed at a gala event on June 24 at the Beverly Hilton.
Putra heads 3N, National Notification Network, a company that produces Web-based mass communications software for use in emergency situations. Among the company’s clients are federal government agencies and universities.
