Taste of Montrose is this weekend
The second annual Taste of Montrose will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday in the Montrose Shopping Park.
The event will benefit Crescenta Valley High School’s Prom Plus.
Tasters will be able to sample food from local restaurants. Taste of Montrose will be held in conjunction with the shopping park’s Wags ’n’ Whiskers, Kids ’n’ Kritters event and the weekly Harvest Market.
Tickets are $20.

Latin American festival coming up
The Association of Latin American Students at Glendale Community College will hold a Peña festival from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. today.
The event will feature live music, arts and crafts and Latin American cuisine.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Children of Chiapas Foundation, an organization that provides social services to children in Chiapas, Mexico.
The event will take place on Plaza Vaquero on the college’s main campus at 1500 N. Verdugo Road.
Admission is free for children under 12; $6 for students, $7 for parents with children and $12 for the general public.
Rotary Club to hold fundraiser May 30
The Rotary Club of Glendale will hold its first gala fundraising event on May 30 to benefit the Boy Scouts of America’s “Learning for Life” program.
This program teaches life skills, such as how to balance a checkbook, to more than 2,500 young adults in Glendale.
The event will be held at the Hilton Glendale.
Tickets are $85 per person.
The organization is also soliciting donations for the event’s silent and live auctions.
