BASEBALL

Crescenta Valley 6, Muir 0: The visiting Falcons got two hits apiece from Joey Sedano and Matt Ashby on Friday in a Pacific League contest.

Kris Kauppila collected a double and scored twice for the Falcons (15-5, 10-2 in league).

Crescenta Valley will next compete at 6 p.m. today in a nonleague game against St. Francis at Stengel Field.




SOFTBALL

Flintridge Prep 12, Webb 2: The host Rebels snapped a two-game losing streak Friday with a Prep League victory against the visiting Gauls (0-12, 0-10 in league).

The Rebels, who had 12 hits, promptly broke out of a recent offensive slump with seven runs in the first inning.

Alina Khodadian had two hits for Flintridge Prep (11-5, 8-2), including a home run. Teammate Ashley Wood finished with two hits and drove in three.

Kelly Wang and Lydia Kay each had two runs batted in for the Rebels.



BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

Sherman Oaks Notre Dame 3, St. Francis 1: The visiting Golden Knights concluded their season with a 23-25, 25-11, 25-18, 25-18 Mission League loss Friday. Senior setter Eric Oberhammer had 24 assists for the Golden Knights (1-16, 0-10 in league).



TRACK AND FIELD

Prep League finals: The Flintridge Prep boys’ and girls’ teams each pulled out third-place finishes and produced stellar individual performances at the league finals on Thursday at Claremont College.

On the girls’ side, sophomore Dot Silverman won the 1,600 meters (5 minutes, 22 seconds) and 3,200 meters (12:21).

Also qualifying for CIF was the Rebels’ 4x400 team of Silverman, Erica Slater, Katherine Iwata and Alex Baptiste, which took second place in 4:17.

Slater took second in the 300 hurdles (47.8) and Iwata took third in the 800 to advance to the CIF Prelims.

The Rebels boys turned in an equally strong performance, as senior Mason Dudas was named the most outstanding in the field events.

Dudas won a league crown in the shot put with a heave of 50 feet, 3 inches and finished second in the discus. Junior Jeffrey Nieh was a double winner, taking the 110 hurdles (16.0) and 300 hurdles (41.8), while Sam Fishman skied 11 feet to grab the pole vault title.
