Garden Tour to include 12 gardens
The Glendale Historical Society will host a Glendale Garden Tour from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 18 starting at the Brand Library, 1601 W. Mountain St.
The event will include a tour of 12 gardens plus a water conservation presentation, refreshments and a raffle after the tour.
Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.

Americana shuttle service to continue
A free parking shuttle for shoppers visiting Americana at Brand will continue through June as city officials try to temper the effects the megaplex has on downtown traffic.
The shuttle, which runs every 15 minutes, will service major city parking structures starting with the garage on Orange Street. Stops are at the Exchange and Marketplace garages, the Glendale Galleria and Americana.
The shuttle operates noon to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and noon to midnight Friday.
The shuttle will run from 10 a.m. to midnight Saturday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
