Falcon Baseball Hold’em Tourney

The Crescenta Valley Falcon Baseball program will hold its inaugural No Limit Texas Hold’em Tournament and Bunco Night Fun-raiser event Saturday at American Legion Hall, 4011 La Crescenta Ave., La Crescenta.

Tournament is limited to 60 players only, ages 18 and over.

Check-in will be at 5:15 p.m. Poker fundamentals will be taught at 5:30 and the tournament will start at 6.


Raffle prizes, silent auction and more will be featured.

Flintridge Volleyball Club tryouts set

The Flintridge Volleyball Club will hold various tryouts at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy’s gymnasium, 440 St. Katherine Drive, La Cañada Flintridge.

The camp is geared for those 10-18.

 Age 15, 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday.

 Age 16, 8 to 11 a.m. Sunday.

 Ages 17-18, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 15.

Christmas tree sale to be held

The 18th annual St. Francis High School Booster Club Christmas Tree Sale will take place.

Orders and payments must be made by 2 p.m. Nov. 30.

Annual CV Baseball Camp to be held

The 12th annual Crescenta Valley Baseball Camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 28-29 at Stengel Field.

The event will be spearheaded by Crescenta Valley High baseball Coach Phil Torres and his coaching staff.

The event is geared for those in grades three through eight. The cost is $75.
