A 44-year-old Glendale man pleaded not guilty Monday to charges that he stabbed a man multiple times before dumping him from a car in front of several witnesses, officials said.
Shagen Norshadyan faces two felony counts of attempted murder and aggravated mayhem in connection with Thursday’s stabbing, according to a Los Angeles County Superior Court criminal complaint.
He and his passenger were arrested about 11:07 p.m. after police stopped their Ford Focus on the 1100 block of Orange Grove Avenue and spotted a bloodied knife and prescription pills dumped on the floor next to a car door, police said.
Witnesses reported seeing Norshadyan exit the driver’s seat, walk toward the rear passenger side, grab the 51-year-old victim and dump him on the street before taking off, police said.
The victim, who was not identified, suffered from multiple stab wounds to his arms, legs and hands, police said.
Norshadyan is scheduled to appear July 3 in the Los Angeles County Superior Court in Burbank for a preliminary hearing.
