Eleven people were arrested during a sobriety checkpoint carried out by Glendale police officers over the weekend.
The checkpoint was held at the intersection of Brand Boulevard and Cerritos Avenue from 6 p.m. Saturday through 2 a.m. Sunday, said Glendale police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot.
One person was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, while two other motorists were taken into custody for allegedly being high on drugs while behind the wheel, she said.
One person was arrested for alleged narcotics possession, while six people were arrested on suspicion of driving without a license, Lightfoot said.
One person was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant, she added.
The last sobriety checkpoint, conducted in July, netted six arrests.
Glendale’s DUI checkpoints are set up at locations with the most frequent occurrences of DUI collisions and arrests.
