Police are looking for a man who they say approached a woman sitting in her car, handed her a flower and then forced himself on her.
The woman was eating breakfast and talking on her cell phone at about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of West Broadway when the man approached the car window and handed her the flower, according to Glendale police.
As she thanked him, the man allegedly reached into the car, placed his hands on her face and pulled her toward his face.
She said “no” and pulled away, but he tugged her even harder and leaned into her vehicle, police said.
A bystander quickly stepped in and pulled the man away from the woman. The man fled west on Broadway.
She described him as Middle Eastern, 5 feet 3 inches tall to 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds and between 65 and 75 years old, police said. He was also missing half of one finger and wore orange Croc clogs.
Anyone with details about the man is asked to call the Glendale Police Department assaults unit at (818) 548-3106. To remain anonymous, call (818) 507-7867.
