Adam Cartwright, 33, was sentenced Oct. 7 to five years of probation after pleading no contest to soliciting and engaging in a lewd act in public. He was also ordered to undergo a year of counseling for harassing the teen and ordered to stay away from her.
Another condition of Cartwright’s sentencing was that he had to register as a sex offender within five days of his release from police custody. Cartwright was released the same day he was sentenced.
When officers followed up this week on Cartwright’s case, they noticed he hadn’t registered as a sex offender with the Glendale Police Department or any other law enforcement agency, according to Glendale police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot.
He was later arrested for the alleged violation in the 300 block of North Brand Boulevard.
Cartwright reportedly followed the girl and made statements about kidnapping and engaging in sexual acts with her as she walked home.
