A wedding crasher prompted a melee with shots being fired Saturday outside a banquet hall in west Glendale, police said.

Witnesses told officers the wedding crasher tried to enter the celebration just after midnight at Anoush banquet hall in the 1300 block of Glenoaks Boulevard despite not being invited, according to Glendale police.

The dispute escalated and a fight erupted. Women and children reportedly tried to break up the fight, police said.

About 20 wedding guests were fighting outside the banquet hall when witnesses said they saw the crasher point a firearm toward the sky and fire, police said. Witnesses reported hearing loud popping sounds.

The wedding crasher was described as Armenian man who was wearing dark clothes and had tattoos on his bald head, according to police.

Police were unable to find the wedding crasher and they did not find any shell casings.
