A DUI saturation patrol in Glendale last weekend resulted in the arrest of five motorists who were allegedly under the influence behind the wheel, police said.
During the patrol, which lasted from 6 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. on Saturday, 38 vehicles were stopped, while 12 field sobriety tests were administered, said Glendale Police Sgt. Harout Bouzikian.
Three people were arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, while two more drivers were taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence of drugs, he said.
Saturation patrols are made possible through state funding.
