A 32-year-old Glendale man was arrested Tuesday night after detectives found about three dozen marijuana plants inside his father’s garage, police said.
Mikheil Mirzoyan was taken into custody on suspicion of cultivating marijuana inside the garage in the 500 block of East Maple Street, according to Glendale police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot.
Detectives from the Glendale Police Department’s Narcotics Detail received an anonymous tip about the drug grow and visited the garage about 5 p.m., she said.
Once detectives arrived, they immediately smelled a strong odor of fresh marijuana emitting from the garage, Lightfoot said.
Mirzoyan’s father allowed detectives to enter the garage, where reportedly they discovered 3 to 4-feet-tall flowering marijuana plants.
Soon after, Lightfoot said detectives identified Mirzoyan as the owner of the marijuana grow and he was arrested.
