Police are looking for a woman who allegedly stole someone’s identity to open credit card accounts to buy $6,000 in fragrances and electronic equipment throughout Glendale and Burbank.
The woman used the stolen identity on Feb. 12 and 13 to open new accounts at Target, Macy’s and Best Buy, according to Glendale police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot.
With the new credit accounts, she allegedly bought women’s perfume, men’s cologne, gift cards and electronics.
She was described as 5 feet 4 and 26 to 33 years old with a medium to heavy build. She has long black hair and wears glasses.
Police said she drove a possibly dark gray, mid-sized 2000 Honda Accord EX with a spoiler.
Anyone with details about the woman can call Financial Crimes Det. Peter Robinson at (818) 548-3101.
