Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly yelled at a 17-year-old girl and insisted she enter his truck in La Crescenta.

The girl was walking alone at about 3:15 p.m. on April 18 in the 3000 block of Montrose Avenue, when a man sitting inside a truck reportedly yelled, “Hey you. Come here. Get in. Where are you going?”

She was frightened and walked quickly to her home, where she immediately notified her father, Glendale police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot said.

Police said the man didn’t touch the girl and he drove off after calling out to her.

Police described the driver as a male, white or Middle Eastern in his 30s with a buzzed-style haircut.

He drove an older, light blue, two-door Ford pickup truck.

Anyone with details about the incident is urged to call Glendale Police Det. Donald Tucker at (818) 548-3106.
