A DUI saturation patrol in Glendale last week led to the arrest of three motorists who were allegedly under the influence while behind the wheel, police said.

The patrol, which lasted from 6 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. on Saturday, stopped 51 vehicles, while 14 field-sobriety tests were administered, said Glendale Police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot.

Two people were arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, while another person was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence of drugs, she said.

Saturation patrols are made possible through state funding.
