Glendale police are still seeking the public’s help in identifying a man and woman captured on security footage during a burglary of the Häagen-Dazs ice cream kiosk at the Americana at Brand.
Despite releasing the video to news media, police have yet to receive any tips from the public about the suspects’ identities, Glendale police Detective Travis Goodreau said Wednesday.
The break-in at Häagen-Dazs occurred at 4:20 a.m. on July 28. The nearby Richie Palmer’s Pizza kiosk was burglarized around the same time.
No money was missing from Häagen-Dazs, but Richie Palmer’s Pizza reported a loss of $980 in cash, said Glendale police Sgt. Tom Lorenz.
The video from Häagen-Dazs shows the woman opening a sliding-glass service window and the man squeezing through it, then hitting his head on the floor on the way in.
The male suspect is described as 19 to 23 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds, with shaggy blond or light-brown hair.
The woman appears to be between 17 and 23 years old, 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds. She has long, possibly brown, hair.
Police are asking anyone who can help identify the suspects to call detectives at (818) 548-2097.
