Thieves allegedly broke into a south Glendale pharmacy on Tuesday and stole prescription pills, police said.
An employee arrived at about 9 a.m. at the pharmacy in the 400 block of West Broadway and noticed a window on the eastside of the building was smashed, according to Glendale Police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot.
Soon after, investigators discovered that thieves entered the pharmacy sometime between 7 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday and stole an unknown amount of prescription pills, authorities said.
Xanax — a pill that treats insomnia, anxiety and depression — and the prescription painkillers Vicodin and Norco, were removed from the business, police said.
