Having just experienced a non-stop flight from Los Angeles International Airport, I can now see what Bob Hope Airport is doing wrong, LAX is doing right.
When I booked my recent flight to the East Coast, I was offered several non-stop flight options at LAX as opposed to none from Bob Hope Airport. Also, the ticket prices were reasonable; less than one-third to one-half the price of Bob Hope Airport. And the short-term parking rate was $30 per day, which is less than parking at Bob Hope Airport. Finally, the proof of the pudding: LAX was quite crowded late on a week night when I returned.
Perhaps if Bob Hope Airport would like to prosper, all the airport management needs to do is take a look at what LAX is doing.
