The following are updates on area athletes at the collegiate level.

Nick Dragovich (Crescenta Valley High, 2010) junior forward, Chapman University men’s basketball: Dragovich has fit in nicely, providing depth off the bench for the Panthers. His latest body of work came Monday during a nonconference home game against Colorado College.

Dragovich’s contributions went a long way for Chapman. He finished with six points and four rebounds to help Chapman earn a 62-48 victory. Dragovich registered four defensive rebounds in 16 minutes to help the Panthers win their third game in a row.

Dragovich also showed he could handle a role as a starter. Making his first start of the season in a nonconference home game against UC Santa Cruz on Sunday, Dragovich finished with seven points in Chapman’s 75-50 victory. He also had 10 points in a 57-55 nonconference defeat against Willamette on Dec. 19.

Through Monday, Dragovich is averaging 6.8 points per game in 11 games.

Dragovich’s younger brother, Davis, who helped Crescenta Valley appear in the state playoffs last season for the first time since 1994, is a guard at Chapman. He’s played in seven games, averaging 0.6 points per game

In a conference opener against host Long Beach City College on Dec. 19, Ghazarian finished with 12 points and four rebounds in a 71-57 loss.
