Eight former Occidental College athletes will be inducted into the school’s inaugural Athletic Hall of Fame on Oct. 26.

Former St. Francis High football Coach Bill Redell and former Glendale Community College track and field athlete Bob McMillen will be among those inducted.

Redell was recently named the Tigers’ new football coach and graduated in 1964. McMillen won a silver medal in the 1956 Olympic Games in the 1,500-meter race.

Joining Redell and McMillen will be former NFL quarterback Jack Kemp, USC and Olympic Track Coach Dean Cromwell, former Chicago Cubs pitcher Bud Teachout, national women’s tennis champion Pat Yeomans, two-time Olympic gold medal diver Sammy Lee and 1956 Olympic silver medal pole vaulter Bob Gutowski.
