BOYS' SOCCER

St. Francis 4, La Salle 2: The visiting Golden Knights overcame a two-goal halftime deficit to open their season Monday with a nonleague road win. Kareem Zeenni had two goals for St. Francis, which received one apiece from Nick Vedford and Glenn Ramos.

Flintridge Prep 3, Alhambra 0: Cole Rademacher scored three goals Monday to spark the host Rebels (2-0) in a nonleague match at the Glendale Sports Complex.

Rademacher had two first-half goals, including a penalty shot to give the Rebels a 2-0 advantage. Flintridge Prep goalkeeper Hamilton Evans finished with seven saves.

BOYS' BASKETBALL

Glendale 64, Fulton Prep 55: Eric Kirakosian finished with 17 points and six steals and Alex Morales added 14 points and 12 rebounds Monday for the Nitros, who opened their season Monday with a pool-play victory in the Burbank High Tournament. Arthur Terzyan added 12 points for Glendale.

Malibu 67, Hoover 62: Chris Sarkisian and Teo Davidian each collected 13 points Monday for the Tornadoes, who tipped off their season in a pool-play game in the Providence Tournament. Rodrick Karamkhodian had 10 points for Hoover.

Camarillo 73, Crescenta Valley 65: Eric Patten registered 23 points and 10 rebounds Monday for the Falcons, who started their season with a pool-play game in the San Fernando Valley Tournament at Kennedy High. Kevin Dinges collected 20 points and nine rebounds for Crescenta Valley.

GIRLS' BASKETBALL

Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 59, Bravo 14: Ellie DiPietro collected 10 points and 11 rebounds and teammate Kelly Fradet added 16 points to power the Tologs, who began their season Monday with a pool-play win in the Duarte Tournament.

Flintridge Prep 64, Ramona Convent 16: The host Rebels started off their season Monday with a nonleague victory. Tala Ismail finished with 17 points for Flintridge Prep, which got 11 from Natalie Rozman and 10 from Renae Tamura.

Alta Loma 51, Glendale 47: The Nitros began their season Monday with a pool-play defeat in the Duarte High Tournament.
