Glendale 14, Burroughs 4: Glendale notched a Pacific League road victory Thursday to improve to 7-3, 5-2 in league. The Nitros got doubles wins from Mike Akopians and Davit Ismailian (6-2-, 6-2, 6-0) and Mheir Krikorian and David Casaburi (6-4, 6-0, 6-1).
Glendale 18, Muir 0 (five innings): The Nitros trounced the Mustangs in Pacific League action on Thursday at home with Rachel Bartamian and Jordan Lousararian combining on the abbreviated no-hitter.
Sammy Fabian had a pair of hits, including a grand slam and drove in six runs and stole four bases.
Glendale is now 9-2 and 1-1 in league play.
Crescenta Valley 10, Pasadena 0 (five innings): The Falcons began Pacific League play Tuesday with an easy win over Pasadena on the road, buoyed by a big day from Hailey Cookson, who had three doubles, two runs and three runs batted in.
Taylor Hill was four for four with a run and RBI, while Baylee Renfro (two hits, two RBI, run) and Chloe Fairbrother (two hits, run) also had good outings.
Olivia Thayer got the win in the circle, throwing four scoreless innings and striking out four.
Crescenta Valley’s game Thursday against Burroughs was postponed until Friday.
Hoover 26, Muir 0 (five innings): The Tornadoes picked up a Pacific League-opening win on Tuesday at home.
Anjel Bonilla had a huge day, with three hits, five runs batted in, three runs and three stolen bases.
Deana Cruz had four hits, four runs and two RBI. Ysenia Rodriguez had three hits, three runs and three RBI. Seran Krikorian had two hits, three RBI and two runs and Alex Mendoza had two hits, three RBI and three runs.
Evie Unger threw the shutout, allowing two hits and four walks, while striking out seven.
Crescenta Valley 196, Arcadia 203, Glendale 253: Paul Park had an even-par 36 on Thursday for the Falcons in a nonleague match at Brookside Golf Course No. 1 in Pasadena. Crescenta Valley received 39s from Brandon Cho and David Holeman.
On Tuesday, Crescenta Valley picked up a 207-253 nonleague victory against Burroughs at Brookside Golf Course No. 1. The Falcons received three-over-par 39s from Park and Cho. Cody Renfro added a 41 for Crescenta Valley (8-2).
St. Francis 191, Alemany 205: Michael Mozilo of St. Francis carded an even-par 36 on Thursday in a Mission League match at Hansen Dam Golf Course. St. Francis (5-2, 4-2 in league) got 37s from Jack Tenney and Johnny Brandt and a 39 from Michael Finney.
Flintridge Prep 218, Milken Community 222: The host Rebels (6-1) earned a nonleague win Thursday at Altadena Golf Course. Flintridge Prep received five-over-par 41s from Jonah Sacks and Cameron Wu.
St. Francis 3, Rio Hondo Prep 1: St. Francis (5-5) earned a 13-25, 25-16, 25-18, 25-21 nonleagie road victory Thursday. Thomas Lund finished with 13 kills and nine blocks for the Golden Knights, who got 36 assists from David Thompson and 21 digs from Carl D’Aguiar.

Alemany 63, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 54: The host Tologs got some fine performances on Thursday in a Mission League meet at St. Francis High. Flintridge Sacred Heart (2-2 overall and in league) got first-place efforts from Kayla Montgomery in the 400-meter race in 60.41 seconds, Sophia Saldivar in the 800 (2:28.34), Kayla Grahn in the 1,600 (5:31.66), Liberty Qiu in the high jump at 4 feet 2 inches, Olivia Mathews in the long jump (15-5) and Elizabeth Whan in the triple jump (27-2). The Tologs’ 4x400 relay team of Montgomery, Nia Harris, Mathews and Saldivar won in a season-best time of 4:03.32.
BOYS’ TRACK AND FIELD
Alemany 73, St. Francis 53: St. Francis received five first-place finishes Thursday in a Mission League home meet. Eric Knowles won the triple jump in 44 feet 8 inches and the long jump (21-6 1/2). Also picking up first-place performances for the Golden Knights were Moses Springer in the high jump (5-4), Anders Simmeth in the pole vault (10 feet) and Andrew Cesta in the shot put (44-10 1/2).
