    With the proliferation of build-your-own-pizza places around town, I was not enthusiastic about trying another one. But 800 Degrees pizza, a small chain out of West L.A., took over the old Louise’s Trattoria at Colorado Boulevard and Fair Oaks Avenue and restored the historic building designed by famed Los Angeles architect John C. Austin to its original grandeur. My husband and I used to frequent the place when we were dating (back then it was called the Rite Spot) so we had to check it out. We went for the memories. We’ll be going back now for the pizza.
